Travelling Salesman - Vernon William Gaines

My father was Vernon William Gaines, usually called Bill. He represented Kinghams, as "commercial traveller", throughout the war years; following his move down south from Yorkshire, where he had worked previously for the Co-op in Saltburn.
He lodged in Blake House, Loates Lane, Watford whilst in the Watford area. Many friends were made from the grocers shops he visited up and down the country.
